Add Wikis to a Space¶
Put a wiki in a space and everyone in the space can edit it, unless the wiki owner limits them to reading. Create a new wiki straight into a space, or add one you already own.
Create a Wiki in a Space¶
- Open the space and click
New Wiki - Follow the Create a Wiki steps
The new wiki is added to the space as soon as it is created.
Add an Existing Wiki¶
From the Space¶
- Click Space options, choose Space settings, then click Wikis
- Under Your ungrouped wikis, find the wiki and click
Add

This list shows wikis you own that aren't in a space yet. To put a wiki into a second space, add it from the wiki instead.
From the Wiki¶
- Open the wiki and click the people icon next to its name to open Members
- Under Spaces, choose a space from Add this wiki to a space…
- Click
Add
You can only add a wiki to spaces you own.
What you need
To add a wiki to a space, you need to be an Owner of the wiki and an owner of the space.
Who Gets Access¶
Adding a wiki to a space gives everyone in the space the Editor role on that wiki. In a Public space, the rest of your organisation can read it too.
The space shows in the wiki's Members list with a Space label. A wiki owner can change its role there - for example to Reader, so space members can read but not edit the wiki.
The wiki's own members keep their access. See Members and Permissions.
Remove a Wiki from a Space¶
Do either of these:
- In Space settings > Wikis, click
Removebeside the wiki - In the wiki's Members list, click
Removebeside the space
The wiki and its pages aren't changed. People who could only reach it through the space lose access.
Count looks wrong?
If a space's card shows the wrong number of wikis, open Space settings > Wikis and click Refresh.
