Licensing¶
This page is for organisation administrators. Everyone who uses Huddo Ideas needs a Huddo Ideas licence (a seat) in your organisation.
For installation and server set-up, see Installation and Administration.
What a Licence Covers¶
A person with a licence can use everything their lab roles allow: create labs, submit ideas, vote and review. See Members and Roles.
A licence belongs to an organisation. If someone belongs to more than one organisation, they can only see and use labs in the organisations where they hold a licence.
What Unlicensed People See¶
Someone without a licence who opens Huddo Ideas sees a Licence required page in place of the app:
Licence required
You don't have a licence for Ideas. Ask your organisation administrator to assign you a seat.
Contact your administrator
They can't open labs or ideas until they're given a seat.
Assigning and Removing Licences¶
Licence changes take effect straight away. There is no need to restart anything, and people do not need to sign out. If someone already has Huddo Ideas open, they sometimes need to reload the page.
Removing a licence
When you remove someone's licence, they lose access to Huddo Ideas immediately, including any lab they own.
